Thanks to my friend venkat for given me an fantastic evening. He took me to a greatest event in chennai. Not only that i met one of my favorite person Mr. Srinivasa moorthy after very long time.He is always a great inspiration to me and a guide in my earlier days of career.He is the publisher of the book ” The Science of Selling ” As a sales person i always have a passion towards the word SALES.

The Functions started with pleasant carnatic song by Ms. Dharini.  followed by a welcome address by Mr. Srinivasa moorthy . The way he edified the chief guest is amazing sharp and crisp.

The Book The Science of Selling is released by Mr. N.K.Renganath Managing Director of Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd., an XLRI alumuni. He quoted the expectations of the customers are changing faster than the products and services.

The First copy of the book is received by Mr. Veeramani Managing Director of Fourrts Laboratories. He is the right person to receive this book and feel proud about it.because he started his career as medical representative [ he got  pushed to sales ] and now a successful Managing director of a BIG Medical company. This is how any successfull sales person will grow in his career.

The chief guest of the funtion is another successfull person in the retail industry Mr. Kothandaraman , Managing Director of Viveks Ltd.,. A man grown from small shop selling folding chairs,sewing machines etc., to a Mega Mega Organised Retail Store. He quoted one fantastic note

” Earlier days there is no There is no selling. Because for any products there will be a demand. Alwasy customer has to wait to buy any products. to buy a premier padmini car we have to wait for 8 – 10 years ,to buy a scooter we have to wait for 5-6 years and to get a telephone connection we have to wait for 3- 5 years then where is the possibility of selling.  Customer is a Long term investment. we have to take care of each and every customer similar to our fixed deposits ,properities and other assets.

Followed by his speech the hero of the day Mr. Francis Alapatt delivered his key not speech about his authoring and his sleepless nights.
